Week 8

 

Week 6/Assignment 5: Portrait (Eli)

 I apologize for the delay in submitting this- my friend let me use their fancy camera, telephoto lens, and tripod, but it took a bit to coordinate. These were taken with a Panasonic Lumax G100 with a 45-150mm F4.0-5.6 ASPH lens. My subject is my friend River, one of my oldest and closest friends in the state and one of my chosen family. This assignment was definitely difficult, but I enjoyed seeing what the camera could capture of River's warm and vibrant presence.

Week 7

Assignment 1

 I wanted to focus more on texture and lines.

I had trouble getting this done, so I attempted to do it myself, and I included pictures I took from a basketball event

 I planned on doing this weeks portraits on family members which unfortunately ended up not how I wanted ( no one approved of their own pictures LOL) so I figured the next best thing would be my pup rylo .

I played with some of the PS edits. Utilizing filigrees and contrasts and also texture.

Photographing people definitely proved more difficult than any of the other assignments (especially young squirmy people with short attention spans). I managed to get a few good shots, some with more contrast on faces, some with less contrast, but all with a soft diffuse light source.
